As for the proposition used hujjah for allowing the practice manaqib it is a hadits that was in the book Bughyat al-Mustarsyidin page 97: ﻭَﻗَﺪْ ﻭَﺭَﺩَ ﻓِﻲ ﺍْﻟَﺎﺛَﺮِ ﻋَﻦْ ﺳَﻴِّﺪِ ﺍﻟْﺒَﺸَﺮِ ﺻَﻠﻰَّ ﺍﻟﻠﻪُ ﻋَﻠَﻴْﻪِ ﻭَﺳَﻠَّﻢَ ﺍَﻧَّﻪُ ﻗﺎَﻝَ : ﻣَﻦْ ﻭَﺭَّﺥَ ﻣُﺆْﻣِﻨﺎَ ﻓَﻜَﺄَﻧﻤَّﺎَ ﺍَﺣْﻴﺎَﻩُ ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﻗَﺮَﺃَ ﺗﺎَﺭِﻳْﺨَﻪُ ﻓَﻜَﺄَﻧﻤَّﺎَ ﺯَﺍﺭَﻩُ ﻓَﻘَﺪْ ﺍﺳْﺘًﻮْﺟَﺐَ ﺭِﺿْﻮَﺍﻥَ ﺍﻟﻠﻪِ ﻓﻲِ ﺣُﺰُﻭْﺭِ ﺍﻟْﺠَﻨَّﺔِ .
the messenger of god.said: “Whoever made the history of the mukmin (who had died) just the same he has bring him back to life.And whoever recites history as if he was paying him a visit.Then God will bless him with ridhaNya to put it is in heaven.”
And also hadits yang diriwayatkan by Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidzi:
ﻗﺎﻝ ﺭﺳﻮﻝ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﺻﻠﻯﺎﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ﻣَﻦْ ﻭَﺭَّﺥَ ﻣُﺴْﻠِﻤًﺎ ﻓَﻜَﺄَ ﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺍَﺣْﻴَﺎﻩُ ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﺯَﺍﺭَ ﻋَﺎﻟِﻤًﺎ ﻓَﻜَﺄَ ﻧَّﻤَﺎ ﺯَﺍﺭَﻧِﻰ ﻭَﻣَﻦْ ﺯَﺍﺭَﻧِﻰ ﺑَﻌْﺪَ ﻭَﻓَﺎﺗِﻰ ﻭَﺟَﺒَﺖْ ﻟَﻪُ ﺷَﻔَﺎﻋَﺘِﻰ. ﺭﻭﻩ ﺍﺑﻮ ﺩﺍﻭﺩ ﻭﺗﺮﻣﺬﻯ
the messenger of god. said:“Whoever makes the date -a Biography - a muslim,then the same with fire.And whoever pilgrimage to a man of the cloth,then the same with a pilgrimage to me (the Prophet peace be upon him.).And whoever a pilgrimage to me after I died,then mandatory for him to get syafaatku tomorrow on the day of kiyamat.” (HR. Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidzi).
In the Nets’ adz-Dzulam ‘ala ‘Aqidat al-‘Public explained:
ﺍِﻋْﻠَﻢْ ﻳَﻨْﺒَﻐﻲِ ﻟِﻜُﻞِّ ﻣُﺴْﻠِﻢٍ ﻃﺎَﻟِﺐُ ﺍﻟْﻔَﻀْﻞِ ﻭَﺍﻟْﺨَﻴْﺮَﺍﺕِ ﺍَﻥْ ﻳَﻠْﺘَﻤِﺲَ ﺍﻟْﺒَﺮَﻛﺎَﺕِ ﻭَﺍﻟﻨَّﻔَﺤَﺎﺕِ ﻭَﺍﺳْﺘِﺠﺎَﺑَﺔِ ﺍﻟﺪُّﻋﺎَﺀِ ﻭَﻧُﺰُﻭْﻝِ ﺍﻟﺮَّﺣْﻤﺎَﺕِ ﻓِﻲ ﺣَﻀَﺮَﺍﺕِ ﺍْﻷَﻭْﻟِﻴﺎَﺀِ ﻓِﻲ ﻣَﺠﺎَﻟِﺴِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﺟَﻤْﻌِﻬِﻢْ ﺍَﺣْﻴَﺎﺀً ﻭَﺃَﻣْﻮَﺍﺗﺎً ﻭَﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﻗُﺒُﻮْﺭِﻫِﻢْ ﻭَﺣَﺎﻝَ ﺫِﻛْﺮِﻫِﻢْ ﻭَﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﻛَﺜْﺮَﺓِ ﺍﻟْﺠُﻤُﻮْﻉِ ﻓِﻲ ﺯِﻳﺎَﺭَﺍﺗِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻋِﻨْﺪَ ﻣَﺬَﺍﻛَﺮَﺍﺕِ ﻓَﻀْﻠِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻧَﺸْﺮِ ﻣَﻨﺎَﻗِﺒِﻬِﻢْ . )ﺟﻼﺀ ﺍﻟﻈﻼﻡ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻋﻘﻴﺪﺓ ﺍﻟﻌﻮﺍﻡ )
“you Know obviously for every muslim who seek the primacy and goodness,so that he was looking for a blessing, and a gift as well as terkabulnya prayer and fall the grace in front of the guardian,in the assembly-the assembly and the gathering them,either still alive or already dead,in their graves when you remember them,and when the crowd gathered in just visiting them,and reading the resume (manaqiban).”
the Benefits Manaqib: In a hadits a history of ad-Dailami in the book of Musnad al - Eden history of Sayyidina Mu'adz bin Jabal Ra.:
ﺫﻛﺮ ﺍﻷﻧﺒﻴﺎﺀ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻌﺒﺎﺩﺓ ﻭﺫﻛﺮ ﺍﻟﺼﺎﻟﺤﻴﻦ ﻛﻔﺎﺭﺓ ﻭﺫﻛﺮ ﺍﻟﻤﻮﺕ ﺻﺪﻗﺔ ﻭﺫﻛﺮ ﺍﻟﻘﺒﺮ ﻳﻘﺮﺑﻜﻢ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺠﻨﺔ
“Remember the Prophet is worship,remembering the people sholeh is expiation-the ransom (for the sins),given the dead's generosity and remember the grave attracted you to heaven.”
Imam as-Suyuthi in al-Jami’ ash-Shaghirnya and Imam al-Munawi in Faidh al-Qadir said hadits this dha'if (can charity as fadhail al-‘amal).
Al-Sheikh Muhammad bin Jonah said:“Not I see something more beneficial for the heart than considering the history of people's lives sholeh.”
