The Super Slugfest 1997 follows the same format as the previous The Super Slugfest games, but introduces two distinct playing styles which the player can select before choosing their team: Advance and Extra.

The endings are very cool indeed and the bonus fight between Kyo and Iori is very cool. The final boss is a tough son of a gun, and he is plotting to end all of mankind.
