The “Vansaba” series roguelike action RPG, Twirly Whirly Wizard, features randomized character builds on every stage. However, players can mitigate this effect by creating a skill deck beforehand. My first battle felt difficult to me without any instructions. This was because when skill decks were organized, the challenge experienced decreased. Additionally, my enjoyment and excitement towards defeating a massive group of enemies increased due to the feeling of being in Vampire Survivor. The way my characters develop feels similar to Vampire Survivor; however, it is important to note that it’s possible to advance skills in advance by creating skill decks. Doing this makes random character enhancements less likely and additionally allows me to unlock skills I don’t care about. This also allows me to maintain the functionality of the system where only useful skills are leveled up— a welcome change from other games!

Before the game starts, you can choose the character’s occupation and operating character. Doing so changes the character’s passive skill. Additionally, you can arrange decks related to skills that appear during battles ahead of time. This allows you to remove or restrict unnecessary skills or train only specific ones. There is also a permanent learning menu for adding new skills to the skill deck. This functionality allows players to increase attack power through frequent training. ———
