In the Necromancer Arena, players can summon skeleton soldiers and otherworldly spirits like ghosts and zombies during combat. Beat down enemies to collect resources for growing your necromancer and undead army. Then use those resources to hunt, gather and grow new items.

At the start of a stage, control a Necromancer and move to the location of the tower. Monsters appear near the tower; use a long-range Necromancer and undead units in 4 frames to intercept them. Damage structures and defeat monsters while completing the assignment and destroying all three towers in the stage. Once that's done, move on to the next stage.

Stage combat makes the stage system worth playing. With a Leave feature, it's similar to an auto-battle RPG with a stage-based primary content battle. To face an enemy, I needed to understand my enemy's strengths and weaknesses. Summoning units required measuring distance from the enemy, similar to how one measures the distance from a tower in a defense game. My strategic enjoyment came from understanding this information.

Gather gacha units, including necromancers with special traits and abilities. Additional units can be obtained through battle or by pulling multiple units at once. Units can have several training menus such as runes, skills, limit breaking and strengthening. They can also have a level, equipment and other common training menus. These menus are accessed from the summoned beast menu. This is where you organize up to four units for a group battle. Each unit has an individual training menu that allows them to enhance specific traits like strength or runes.

There are multiple stages available in the main quest mode. You can choose from the list of stages, or shortcut to the highest stage completed. The necromancer's figure with a stick appears to the left of the platform when performing an operation on stage. From the stage, find the tower set up in a corner. Monsters spring forth from the tower's immediate area. Summon necromancer fights with various skeleton soldiers and a necromancer for the purpose of defeating monsters. Next, destroy the tower and damage the monsters to move forward. After three towers on the stage are destroyed, the next one will appear.

In order to access the mission menu after completing the tutorial, you must first earn an achievement. Doing so causes you to receive a gacha reward that you can use 5 times; alternatively, you can advance the game a bit by drawing one unit at a time. Both the necromancer and highest rank units have an emission rate of 0.5%, while mixing characters and units creates an average of 0.5% gacha with relative ease.

Using higher priced units makes it difficult if you only have a small number of each. Instead, use less expensive units. Summoning units in battle costs mana that builds up gradually until a certain point when it can no longer charge anymore. High-cost units have a higher summoning cost, so it's best to use them with care. Once summoned, units will only last a short time before they disappear. It's recommended to challenge a battle with two high-cost and two low-cost units in order to avoid forming an unbalanced formation. ———
