You certainly used an application launcher, manufacturer homes are still application launchers, but if you came here, you are aware of that you can install a home application, and perhaps tried another one before.

When I first got my Nexus 4, ages ago, it was big trouble for me to use the device, since I was very accustomed to conventional manufacturer launchers, not even those are made for Android, and base AOSP launcher just won't do it for me. That's how I started to search for a new home application. However, I never get to the right one.

In my pursuit of one true launcher, I came across with launchers that are smart, but simply organize your applications through their type, launchers that are great for customization of layout properties, and launchers that are floated with ads, 3rd party services, or engines. There was no launcher that I could call the right one.

After years later, I thought why don't I build one, not because I had not enough time or nothing to do, but I could build one as I worked as Android System Applications Engineer before. Eventually, I built one, and the result is DecentHome, an application launcher, without ads, 3rd party services, or engines, not smart, and floated with numerous layout customization choices, an has an experience that is closed to a manufacturer launcher.
