This is a free application for calculating the food requirements for your dog. It calculates the energy (calorie) needs to maintain a healthy weight for their life stage depending upon their energy / activity level. The app calculates the Resting Energy Requirement (RER) and estimates the Maintenance Energy Requirement (MER). This app only provides starting points for estimating the amount of food to be provided daily, individual pet needs can vary as much as 50% from calculated values.

Different dog breeds also require more or less energy by the inherent nature of their breed. This app also provides around 200 dog breeds with estimated ratings of size, potential weight gain, energy level, intensity, exercise needs, and playfulness.

This application also calculates additional information based on the food that you have provided. The additional information includes number of cups per day, cost per day, cost per cup, and number of days the food will last.
