Each customer has an insatiable desire they are looking to be fulfilled by the player; this is what motivates them to approach the player and request a particular action. Once a request has been made, the player must deliver on that need— or risk losing future business. Creating new customer needs requires players to understand what customers need. This is why they work with Mark and Luana to complete their work faster. People don't create customer needs on their own; people assist them as well.

Customers come to the player to find the perfect item. All of them live in unique places, making it impossible for them to be confused. This leads to many different customers visiting the same locations on the island. Players will ask to create houses on the beach or outdoor pools to relax. They'll also be asked to design an outdoor pool for relaxing. These prompts lead players on a path full of different ideas, resulting in three different designs for players to choose from.

Adding or replacing a certain piece in a given game requires playing a matching minigame. This brief contest showcases the popular match-3 genre. Finishing each match earns participants the right to close the work being done on whatever it is they are replacing or adding. The game requires a different work assignment each time a player plays. Players can only complete their assigned work when the game itself is also completed. The game isn't limited to a specific time frame, but players must stay aware of the clock due to the lack of a time limit.
