To get Icon Remover for Facebook Mod APK latest version
Icon Remover for Facebook is a simple application to remove the new Camera and Messenger icons that were added with the latest Facebook update. This application requires that the device be rooted and that the Superuser application is installed.
Contact [email protected] if you have any issues (we cannot provide any assistance with rooting your device). We are more than happy to offer any help we can with disabling these icons but cannot do anything if you simply give us a low rating instead of contacting us.
Frequently asked questions:
- Why does Icon Remover for Facebook require root access?
Unfortunately the Android security model does not make it possible for one application to enable/disable components for another application. This makes sense for standard applications because you wouldn't want a competing application to be able to disable yours (ie: install MySpace and it disables Facebook). That is why Icon Remover for Facebook requires root permissions in order to achieve this.
- What does Icon Remover for Facebook actually do with root permissions?
Icon Remover for Facebook executes the Android Package Manager (pm) from the command line in order to disable two activities in the Facebook package.
- You removed the two new Facebook icons but now I have a "Icon Remover for Facebook" icon. Can't you remove the icon for this application too?
Unfortunately the only way to remove an icon is to disable the activity it is associated with which means it can no longer run. This setting persists across un-installs/re-installs so if we disabled the "Icon Remover for Facebook" icon you would no longer be able to run the application if you needed to restore the icons. We suggest you uninstall "Icon Remover for Facebook" after you have disabled the icons. Then if you ever need to restore the Facebook Camera / Messenger icons you can simply re-install this application and run it.
NOTE: We've had reports that some users lose the Facebook icon from their home screen after enabling/disabling the camera/messenger icons. Unfortunately this is a side effect of enabling/disabling certain package components from the command line and not something we can fix. Rest assured that your Facebook icon is still in your application drawer and you can manually place it back on your home screen.
