This book was written by Ash-Shaykh Al-Faqih, Salim bin ‘Abdullah bin sa'd bin ‘Abdullah bin Sumair Al-Hadhrami Al-Batawi Ash-Shafi'i –rahimahullah– (d. 1271 Ah). He is a scholar of a famous Hadhramaut, Yemen which is not only good at the science of the shari'ah, but he is also adept in the matter of weaponry. Because of his skills, he was appointed as a delegate buyer of weapons by the Yemeni government.
As for the book we're talking about this matter is about aqidah and fiqh. In the beginning of the book, Shaykh Salim touched upon the issue of the five pillars of Islam, pillars of faith are six, and the meaning of “laa ilaaha illallah”.
