FAQ

1. Where are the encrypted files?
The encrypted files are stored in the folder “.DefaultGallery” of all the storages of your device.
Note: You need to configure your file explorer to show hidden folders. There may be more than one storage in your device and the encrypted file will be stored in the same storage as the original file.

2. How to make sure my files never be lost?
DO NOT delete, rename or move the folder “.DefaultGallery” or any file in it.
When an app is uninstalled, some files cleaning tool (E.g. Clean Master) may notify you to delete the files generated by the app. If you want to uninstall Secret Base temporarily and use it later, make sure do not confirm to delete when a dialog jumps asking you whether to delete the files generated by Secret Base.

3. If Secret Base was uninstalled, can I find my pictures and videos back?
Yes, you can! As long as you didn't delete the “.DefaultGallery” folder (Refer to the upper section "Where are the encrypted files"), after installing Secret Base again, you can restore your files.

“Base” is a brand new function in Secret Base 1.2!
“Base” is the place you can share your secret contents anonymously online, as well as visit others'.

5. How to join a base?
Don't worry, after sign up (It's so simple, only takes 10 seconds!), you can join any base by press “Join Base” button inside.

6. How to create a base?
You can press “+” on base home page to create your own base and fill it with your own contents!

7. What's base code? Where can I find it?
Base code is a unique code for a secret base user to enter a base created by other users. You can get code by your friends' sharing, also you can find it on our Facebook page!

8. How to let my friends join my base?
It is easy. After creating your base, it automatically generates a base code. You can find it on “Base Info” page (click top right button to enter “Base Info”). You can paste the code and share it to your friends, or just click “share” to post on Facebook or Whatsapp!
